Redesigning the Firefox Logo / Icon
As of late I have been doing quite a bit of thinking about branding, and how companies represent themselves with their visual identity. One product that really stood out for me recently was Mozilla’s Firefox. The icon or logo was initially designed and developed by Jon Hicks back in 2004. Now it is seven years later and the wonderful logo that Mr. Hicks designed no longer seems relevant...

Lego Minifigures Barcode Hack
Recently lego came out with a new random pack collectible set that I have begun obsessing over. Today, I stopped by Newbury Comics and picked up three in hopes of getting a zombie and the mexican wrestler. When I went to pay for them the cashier told me about how people have been reading the barcodes so they can get the figures they want.
Being the curious person I am, I immediately rushed...

What I learned about digital painting in 5 minutes
A little background about myself, I am a traditional illustrator and am used to doing everything the old treeware way with pen, ink, and brush. So when I picked up a book on digital painting my traditional misconceptions have been thrown out the window.
Paintings use photo overlays to help with textures and lighting. Mmany digital artists will use photos qtop of their paintings to add extra...

Doctor Who Munny
This is my short order entry for the MUNNY MUNTH over at Kidrobot
A few things to note, I can’t paint, I did this in one day, this is my first custom munny besides these, below is my sketch. I prefer illustration to actual paint I think. That’s the best I can do in my awful short time. Best of luck to me!

_Why a missing genius
Years ago I decided to take up learning a new programming language, Ruby. I did in fact learn it and gain quite the understanding of it. All thanks to one man’s brilliant guide.
This book was Why’s (poignant) guide to ruby. It was brimming with brilliance, from satirical comics to off the cuff stream of consciousness. It made learning the language quite simple and entertaining...

Control Spotify With an Apple Remote
I often find it to be a giant pain to have to sift through programs to pause Spotify when someone calls or switch tracks when I don’t feel like hearing a certain song. Well Spotify Remote fixes that and it works with the fancy new Spotify iTunes replacement.

Make your own XBox 360 Thumb Drive
If you are like me then you are quickly running out of room on your X-Box 360. Between the DLC’s and any videos you may snag on occasion it would be nice to have more storage.
Good news microsoft has finally allowed for more storage via USB thumb drive. max-size 16gig.
You can pay $60 for microsoft’s official product or if you are a little more savvy you can format your own.

Build your own TARDIS or Police Box
If you know me then you know I have a love for the revitalized British Doctor Who. In my fervor I decided it might be fun to build my own police box or TARDIS as it is known. With a little bit of searching I dug up instructions on building your own TARDIS.
The instructions are quite interesting for perspective, but it is worth taking a gander at the rest of the site as there is a diverse...
