Because I love many things

This is a rail road spike knife I forged. It was hand filed and hand sanded. Hammer marks were left on the blade to leave a rustic feel.  I used a Japanese technique to harden the blade to create a hard edge and soft spine, known as the Hamon.

I am waiting to sharpen the blade, but it is more ornamental than anything. I would like to make a wooden box to hold it next.
